Creativity-What to do with your Ideas!
Ever felt like you have so many ideas and you don’t know what to do with them? I know I do!
I remember getting so mad at God because I had all these ideas and I didn’t know what to do with them or if I could even accomplish them.
To start, not all your ideas are bad and
most of them are doable. You just have
to figure out on which ones you want to spend your time and energy on.
These are my IDEA tips;
-Collect
books with your favorite subject matter for instant inspiration. If
you are a quilter and can't figure out what to work on, bust out the
quilt block bible and browse.
-Keep
a shoe box or a binder/folder with magazine clippings. When you see an
idea you like, clip it and add it to your box. You can sit an look
through these images when you are lacking inspiration.
-Write all your ideas down! I always carry a small notebook to write my ideas in. I can not tell you how many times I will look back through a notebook and see an idea I can work on. I have also "stored" ideas in a notebook so I would not forget them, and then a year later I was able to actually carry them out. That feeling is awesome. If you are creative, your original idea stays vivid in your mind, you just need a little nudge or reminder.
I can’t say I have completely overcome the
insecurity of going through with my ideas, but I have started to embrace my
crazy creativity and you can too.
What do you do with your creative ideas? Have you ever had a creative idea that keeps nagging at you? I would love to hear about it! Tell me in the comments below.
